Since 1997, Traverse City Area Public Schools has had two high school football programs; The Traverse City West Titans & The Traverse City Central Trojans. Prior to 1997 the unified Traverse City Senior High School won 3 MHSAA Class A Football State Championships. TC West History:

• 23 winning seasons in 26 years
• 17 MHSAA playoff appearances
• 11 conference championships
• 1997-2022: 155-96 overall record
• In 2022, TC West joined the Saginaw Valley Conference (North) and was in MHSAA's Division I Classification
